The Rovers boss puts a tremendous amount of value in working with his players on the training ground, brushing up their tactical acumen and what he wants from them on the pitch.

And he hopes that will pay off with Rovers set to begin a run of six games in 17 days before the end of the year.

“I may have a session but more so this week it's just about recouping and getting the players right,” he said.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to get one or two more bodies back for next weekend’s game.

“As much as I like to work, and the week would have presented me with that, but sometimes I’ve just got to look at what the players have just come through.

“And I think the physical and mental rest will do them the world of good - as much as I would like to work with them.

“If we do have a session, it might be more classroom based.”

Moore hopes the week will help Jon Taylor, Madger Gomes and Danny Amos return to full fitness after missing games through injury.

“Jon, Madger and Danny will hopefully be back but we’ll see what the week presents us with,” he said.
