The Rovers boss is keen to not let his attention to be drawn far away from upcoming matches but says there are several factors that must be addressed including pre-season, contracts and potential new signings.

“Now we’re heading into the final quarter and where the team currently is at the moment, I’m looking to just maximise everything for this season,” Moore said.

“That has always been the focus.

“But I’ve also got to lift my head because there are contracts coming up at the end of the season. We’ve got to look to sort those.

“Pre-season needs sorting because all the clubs are looking to get venues booked.

“Agents and advisors are coming on the phone now to let me know which clientele are available.

“Whether I like it or not I have to look towards next season and over the next week or two, I’ll be doing that.”

Moore is confident others at the club can take on some of the burden of planning for the future as he continues to guide Rovers through the remainder of the season.

“We’re coming into now where we feel that we’ve got a structure to it with myself, Gavin [Baldwin, CEO] and Adam [Henshall, talent identification manager] and communication with the board which allows us to look at this season but also lift our heads and look ahead to next season and where an how you want it to be,” he said.

“Believe it or not, the work for next season has started already.

“When the time is right I’ll fix my attentions and focus on that. I just want my energies for the games at the moment.

“There are things you look to start getting things right and getting things in place with work early.

“That is why we’ve set up the system we have at the football club - to maximise all departments in working to get the right next batch of players into the club and making sure it’s right for the football club.”
