Darren Moore explains vomiting bout from Doncaster Rovers striker Kwame Thomas

Perhaps the signs were there that the second half was not going to go too well for Doncaster Rovers at AFC Wimbledon.

As he ran out from the tunnel before the start of the second period, striker Kwame Thomas vomited on the pitch.

It looked touch and go initially as to whether Thomas would be well enough to continue as he received medical attention from physio Jonathan Chatfield.

But he was soon back on his feet and played the entirety of the second half, which saw Rovers let their lead slip to lost 2-1.

It was not a case of a miraculous recovery from any bug, according to Rovers boss Darren Moore. Instead, it seems to have been a fact of the game.

“It is one of them things with players having adrenaline, nerves and sugar levels or whatever it may be,” Moore said.

“He said once he got it up he was all right.”
