Rovers opened initial talks over a new deal for the 24-year-old several months ago with a firm offer being presented to him since.

Boss Moore says it is down to Sadlier and his team to make the next move.

"There's been an offer made to Sads and we leave it with his agent and advisors," Moore said.

"He is seeking advice from them and that is where we stand really.

"We wait to hear from them.

"He knows of our interest in him remaining here.

"That is why he will continue playing and performing the way he is and long may that continue."

There has been speculation Sadlier could be on the radar of other clubs, either in the summer or now, with former boss Grant McCann linked with a move for Hull City.

However it is understood Rovers have received no indication of interest for Sadlier at this stage.

For now at least, Moore remains pleased with Sadlier's efforts this season, particularly with his goalscoring prowess.

"He is a boy that has improved immensely this season and I feel we have added a lot to his game," Moore said.

"One of the big key points is him scoring goals.

"He has had a good first half of the season and we're looking for that consistency.

"The situation is what it is and we await to see what they want to do with it."
