Rovers launched a virtual ticket scheme for the game with the title ‘I wasn’t there but I would have been’ in a bid to help supporters feel a part of the day despite not being able to due to the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic.

And the response has been strong with more than 850 sold so far.

“It shows the cohesion we’ve got with the supporters,” he said.

“It’s the many different projects the club has done in reaching out to the community over this last year in times of need.

“Fans to the club and the club to fans, everyone is playing their part and there is a real togetherness to work through these hard times.

“The messages and the feedback from the fans that have come in this season, we’re grateful for.

“We’ll keep going and putting the hard work in.”

Rovers have extended the deadline for the virtual ticket scheme until 3pm on Saturday.

The package costs £10 and includes a commemorative virtual ticket and a pennant; a away match programme both as a physical and digital copy with your name included in the physical version; entry into a draw to win a Rovers FA Cup shirt or West Ham home and away shirts signed by both squads.

Rovers chairman David Blunt has bought packages for his family.
