The conversation Darren Moore had with Aston Villa loanee Jacob Ramsey before sending him on in Doncaster Rovers’ clash with Bolton Wanderers
and live on Freeview channel 276
The Aston Villa loanee went on to play for around ten minutes and belied his age and inexperience with a show of tremendous composure at a nervy time for Rovers as they looked to hold on.
Moore refused to take credit for anything Ramsey did and admitted he left it up to the 18-year-old to read how he should approach the game.

“I said ‘go and play then.’
“I just said to him to look at the game and asked him what he thought of the game.
“He said there are spaces to operate in and I said ‘exactly, that is why I want to get you on the pitch.’
“I felt as they were tiring, we were bringing on one or two fresher bodies.

“He just gave us that freshness going on and linking play from back to front.
“He was excellent in terms of coming on and relieving that pressure and gave Bolton something to think about in putting them on the back foot.”
Ramsey will be pushing for a return to the starting XI as Rovers visit Gillingham on Saturday.
