BREAKING: Doncaster Rovers sign Celtic midfielder on loan

The 19-year-old is eligible to make his debut for Rovers in Saturday’s clash with promotion rivals Lincoln City after his registration was completed ahead of Friday’s noon deadline, though his international clearance came through later.

Robertson spent the first half of this season on loan at Gillingham but was recalled by Celtic earlier this month after making 19 appearances.

He has made his debut for Celtic, playing the full game in their Europa League clash with Cluj last season.

Robertson will be the seventh loan player in Rover squad along with Matt Smith, Taylor Richards, Ellery Balcombe, Josh Sims, Elliot Simões and Tyreece John-Jules.

Clubs are permitted to name only five loanees in any matchday squad.
