Balby Carr Academy of Sport have been crowned champions of the ECFA Premier League (Category 1).
The Doncaster school won 11 out of 14 league matches to see off the challenge of their nearest rivals, Bishop Burton College and Barnsley College, and win the title.
Balby Carr Academy of Sport has been providing male student-athletes, aged between 16-19, the opportunity to combine their studies with playing in an elite football programme for almost a decade.
John Buckley, head man’s football coach, said: “It’s a really successful programme and it’s no coincidence that year after year we get really good kids in.
“The kids come back and say to us ‘it was the best two years of my life’ which is great.”
Balby lost 4-1 to Tyne Met in the national play-offs.
