Andy Butler updates on assistant manager role at Doncaster Rovers
Andy Butler will not be appointing a new assistant manager at Doncaster Rovers before the end of the season.
Goalkeeping coach Paul Gerrard has stepped in to assist Butler since he took charge of Rovers at the start of the month.
And the Rovers boss is happy to maintain that set up for the remainder of the campaign.
“For the rest of the season we’ll be going with what we’ve got here now,” he said.
“In the summer it will be a different story and I will probably look for a new number two.
“But at the moment I’m not going to change anything. I’ve got a good backroom staff that support me and have all taken up a bit more.
“Gez [Gerrard] has taken a lot more on.
“And Alex [Bailey, analyst] is an important member of staff. His ideas and the way he approaches games really help.
“We’re sticking with the continuity. We’ll be there for each other as a tight knit staff.”
