Alliance League round-up: Big wins for White Hart, Pit Club Miners and AFC Balby

Division One leaders White Hart (Askern) romped to a 12-2 win over visiting Windmill Wanderers in a depleted Doncaster Sunday Alliance League programme.

Pit Club Miners also had their shooting boots on when beating Auckley 8-3.

AFC Balby, who won 7-2 away at The Salutation (Ricky Neer, Zak Boiston), were another side to cash in on their chances.

Wheatsheaf (Doncaster), 5-1 winners at Finningley Athletic, also picked up maximum points with something to spare.

Harry Ameryu and Joe Pugh both bagged a brace for the winners with Lewis Gilbert also chipping in. Peter Lindsay scored the Finningley consolation.

Balby Rovers beat visiting Carcroft Village Club 3-1 in their Division Two clash.

Callum Wakefield helped himself to four of the goals as Real Bridge A dished out a 7-0 beating to visiting Plough Inn Rovers in the only Championship game of the day. Paul Burton, Callum Birch and Aaron Corley also chipped in.

Atletico Grace beat Balby Athletic by the odd goal in three in one of only two Premier Division games.

FC Romarnsley also pipped Stainforth New Inn by the odd goal when posting a 3-2 win.

Alliance sides contesting second round games in the Sheffield & Hallamshire FA Senior Cup experienced mixed fortunes.

Unbeaten Premier Division leaders Scawthorpe Athletic enjoyed a 5-1 win over visiting Redmires and Upton Wrangbrook beat Alliance League rivals Carcroft Village 8-0. There was another big win (5-1) for FC Cumberland at home to Commercial Inn.

Dunscroft Social lost 6-1 at home to AFP with high-flying Premier Division side Rakkam also losing interest in the competition after losing 3-2 at home to Westville.

Durban, beaten 4-3 at Terminus Tavern, also fell at the second hurdle as did Wheatley Club who were on the wrong end of a 5-3 scoreline at home to Langold Old Boys.

Division Two leaders FC Schoolboy won 17-0 away to Rhodesia in their Junior Cup second round tie. SFC Wadworth also made it into the third round with a 3-1 win at New Inn Gawber A.
