All five goals came in the first half which began with a quickfire burst of scoring.

The prolific Harte gave Bentley the lead only for Helen Kean to immediately restore parity.

Two goals in a minute around the quarter hour mark then gave Bentley a 3-1 advantage with Wood scoring from the right of the area before Harte clipped in her second from the left.

Harte had a good chance to complete her hat trick but shot straight at the Socrates goalkeeper.

Socrates scored their second through Valentina Basso just before the interval.

Bentley had the better of the second half and had a goal chalked off for offside and Loren Turner clipped the outside of a post from distance.

The final score was much closer than might have been expected against their lower division hosts, who were arguably the rank outsiders of the eight quarter-finalists, but Bentley progress to the semi-finals.

A much tougher test awaits in the last four with a home tie against Barnsley. Dronfield Town host Wakefield trinity Development in the other semi-final.
