Grant McCann set out to win promotion out of League Two and they duly did that – with a league title to boot thanks to a 2-1 win over Notts County on the final day of the season.
Attentions will no doubt now turn to 2025-26 and the assault on League One.
Here, we look at the players who - as it stands - are due to depart the club this summer once their contracts expire.

9. Tavonga Kuleya
The striker suffered a season-ending hamstring injury at loan side Belper Town earlier this year. McCann said: "It's not great for the lad. I don't like seeing boys at such a young age have to have operations but hopefully this will get to the bottom of the issue." Like Goodman, his last Rovers game was New Year's Day 2024. 10. Ian Lawlor
Back-up stopper has made five appearances this term. Four of those were in the EFL Trophy with the other coming at Everton in the Carabao Cup. His last league outing was December 2023. Photo: Andrew Roe/AHPIX LTD

11. Joseph Olowu
The centre-half produced the best form of his career in what is his fourth year in DN4 before a thigh injury ended his season early. Since then all the talk has been surrounding his contract situation. A bit of a stand-off after McCann revealed he rejected an initial offer. Manager's most recent quote on the topic was: "We'd love him to sign a new contract! These things happen in football but we'll do our best to try and do it. Let's see." Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD

12. Jake Oram
Young stopper had a loan stint at Liversedge this season before a switch to higher-division Matlock. Has been included in matchday squads but yet to make his senior debut. Photo: HOWARD ROE
