Gary Strephan and his Conisbrough side were in seventh heaven after beating Kexborough to secure promotion to the Premier Division.
Skipper Strephan claimed seven wickets to lay the foundation for Saturday’s six wicket triumph.
Conisbrough’s talisman then struck an unbeaten 32 to confirm both victory and the club’s first ever promotion to the top flight.
Kexborough were in disarray at 29-6 before Mike Jepps (67) and Scott Shillito (40) put on 74 for the seventh wicket. The visitors were eventually dismissed for 145, Strephan claiming 7-29.
Conisbrough’s nerves fluttered at 21-2, with both openers removed without scoring.
But Jonathan Phillips (39), James Doran (30no) and Strephan (32no) saw them home.
Conisbrough travel to second place Houghton Main on Saturday. Victory will secure the league title.
