PEGLERS enjoyed a three wicket home victory over Rossington in Division One of the Doncaster & District Infirmary Evening League.
Some lively knocks from Rossington’s Scott Wood (46), Alex Rowland (35) and Peter Harvey (25no) helped the visitors post 145-4.
Dean Williamson claimed 2-25.
It was not enough, however, as Matt Smethurst (34), Gulrez Rehman (33), Tom Borthwick (25) and Steve Dinnage (22) steered Peglers to 149-7.
Bowling well for Rossington was Mark Atkins 2-25.
Rossington had better fortune when they entertained Conisbrough and won by three wickets.
Some tight bowling, led by Scott Wood, who finished with 3-23, restricted Conisbrough to 117-8.
Jonathan Phillips (20) and Liam Stainthorpe (16) were the main contributors.
An unbeaten 46 from Dom McGough, together with Matt Haywood (19), led to Rossington responding with 118-7.
Nathan Smith picked up 2-25.
Rain put the damper on an interesting encounter between Hatfield Nomads and Doncaster Town, resulting in both sides gaining a point apiece.
Gareth Cox (52), Amit Kundra (31) and Aiden Hall (31) had put the meat on the Town knock of 165-3.
Kirk Bennett captured 2-26.
Nomads went for their target through John Hughes (41), Andy Cutts (36) and J Holmes (26), but had reached only 114-3 in 15.2 overs when play had to be abandoned.
Conrad Sykes picked up 1-17 and Luke Townsend 1-18.
