Cricket: Lawson is hit for six with match ball prize

Young cricketer James Lawson was bowled over after being awarded a match ball for snaring an incredible six wickets for 0 runs in Hampole & Skelbrooke CC’s victory over Hatfield Main.

Lawson was hailed for his incredible performance with the ball which saw Hatfield collapse to 51 all out in 19 overs thanks to the 19-year-old’s five overs demolition after Hampole had made just 78.

What made the feat all the more special was that his bowling figures contained three bursts of two wickets in two balls with a trio of Hatfield batsmen making golden ducks.
