Crowle’s visitors won the toss and chose to bat first with George Wright and Lewis Longstaff opening the batting.

Outcasts got the breakthrough early on however, as Wright lofted a catch to Matty Fowler off the bowling of Graeme Fletcher, and without a further run being added Will Thorne was run out by Charlie Mason leaving Whitley Bridge on 15-2.

Longstaff and David Brunyard took the score to 40 before the former was bowled by Fowler for 18, followed by under 15 starlet Luke Bradley picking up the first of five wickets, having Simon Vaux caught by Fletcher for three.

Brunyard went off the very next delivery, caught by John Stokoe and despite not making his hat trick it wasn’t long before Bradley took Rob Clayton and Petit to once again stand on the brink of three in a row.

Matty Fowler had caught and bowled Oliver Shearman for four then Bradley made it a night to remember when having the dangerous James Pearson caught in the deep to finish with incredible figures of 5-14.

Another Outcasts under 15 youngster Tom Barker settled into the innings well and joined Stokoe as Outcasts lost five wickets on their way to victory. Stokoe finished as the games’ top scorer with 33 before he was superbly caught by Pearson with the total on 54.

Deol Singh strode to the crease and although Barker was eventually out for 17, Singh and Paul Bradley saw Outcasts home.
