JAY Horne starred as he helped Barnby Dun to victory in the All Saints Indoor Cricket League tie with Parklands on Sunday.

Horne opened with 40 alongside Phil Decent who made 48 to help Barnby Dun to 121-5.

He then claimed 2-6 with the ball as Parklands were held to 68-6 despite Cullingworth’s 24.

Excellent bowling from Mark Shanks turned the screws on opponents Brookhouse as he returned figures of 3-14 with all his victims being caught and bowled.

Only Rob Layte showed any resistance to end on 21no as his side posted a modest total of 69-5.

Warmsworth eased past their target with overs to spare as Amit Kundra led they way with a patient 27.

Hatfield Main restricted high flying opponents Rossington Main to a modest 104-6 as Andy Teasdale claimed 2-8.

But it was not enough to secure victory for the side who will represent the Doncaster Area Cricket Council in the Yorkshire six-a-side indoor competition at Headingley next Saturday.

Joel Evans continued his recent good batting form with a stylish 35 for Rossington.

Hatfield would have been optimistic at the break but Scott Wood bowled with pace and accuracy to restrict them to a total of 31-6.
