Due to strong public demand, it’s back!
After a two year break we are once again offering our readers to show they know the score when it comes to Doncaster Rovers.
Yes, as Rovers make their return to the second tier, our very own Championship Challenge is back.
Our fan-tastic prediction game will find the most knowledgeable Rovers fan out there – or perhaps the luckiest.
And this time there is a Rovers season ticket for the 2014/15 season up for grabs.
The competition is simple.
All you have to do is forecast the score of each one of Rovers games in next season’s Championship.
But there will be no studying the current form before each match.
We want to really test your ability – and your loyalty – by getting you to enter all your predictions before a ball is even kicked.
How will Paul Dickov’s men do against fallen Premier League giants QPR, Wigan and Reading?
And can you bear to predict anything other than a Rovers wins in the Yorkshire derbies with Wednesday, Barnsley, Leeds and Huddersfield.
Every scoreline you predict spot on will earn you three points. If you fail to predict the correct scoreline but still predict the correct outcome, you will earn one point.
So, if you predict a 3-0 win over Leeds United and Rovers indeed win 3-0, you will receive three points. Anyone predicting a Rovers win by any other scoreline would earn one point.
Entrants must be aged 16 or over.
Our Free Press sports writers will publish a Championship Challenge update every week while full standings will also appear at regular intervals throughout the season.
All you have to do is fill in the entry form printed in this week’s Free Press and send it to Championship Challenge, Doncaster Free Press Sportsdesk, Sunny Bar, Doncaster, DN11NB.
Deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday, August 2, 2013.
