5 places in Sheffield to watch the royal wedding

With the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just days away, the happy couple aren't the only ones getting excited.

So if you're planning to make a day of it, there are plenty of places around Sheffield hosting a live screening of the nuptials, along with food, drinks and a host of activities to celebrate the newlyweds.

In honour of the royal couple, visitors to The Millhouses Pub can indulge in a special traditional British buffet, alongside a delicious serving of royal wedding cake with prosecco for dessert.

The buffet will be held from 11am on Saturday 19 May for £10 per person, and live footage of the wedding will be shown on the big screen while you dine.

The Blind Monkey

The Blind Monkey will screen the royal wedding from 11am, with a host of tasty food served from 12pm until 8pm, along with cask ales, draught beers, Pimms and gin cocktails - the perfect way to get the celebrations started.

Tapton Hall

From 10pm until 3pm, Tapton Hall will be hosting an outdoor street party where guests can tuck into bacon sandwiches and a special afternoon tea, while watching live coverage of the marriage.

There will also be an array of fun activities to get involved with, including designing your own wedding cake and playing pin the tail on the corgi.

Interval Cafe and Bar

Head to the laid-back setting of Interval Cafe and Bar in Sheffield Student's Union, where you can catch live coverage of the wedding on the big screens from 11am.

Get into the celebratory spirit with themed cocktails, celebratory fizz, cream teas and a pizza and lunch menu.

There will also be a meet-and-greet photo opportunity with a life-size cardboard cut out of the Queen.

Fox Valley

Fox Valley Shopping Park will be celebrating the royal wedding on Saturday with a special British-themed market from 12pm to 3pm, as well as a host of entertainment, face painting, crown making and more.

The wedding coverage will also be screening on their TV screens all day, so you won't miss any of the action.
