Proud mum Sally said: “We are so very proud of Amy and all she has achieved. She has worked incredibly hard over the last few years training at Allegro and associate programmes, always showing great dedication and determination.

“She has always had clear goals and always sets herself new ones, which I think has certainly contributed to her success.

“For the last year she has dreamed of nothing else but having the opportunity to dance full time, so this is definitely a happy ending for her.”

Lucy Rothwell, dance teacher at the Allegro Theatre Dance Academy, said she was also incredibly proud of her student.

She added: “Amy is a positive role model and inspiration. Her work ethic, passion and enthusiasm has a great effect on us all.

“I always knew Amy had a special talent and we cannot express how truly proud we are of her and everything she has accomplished.”
