And with just one transit in London, travellers from Sheffield can reach hundreds of cities in mainland Europe travelling by coach.

Andreas Schorling, managing director FlixBus UK said: “We are delighted that we have been able to add Sheffield to the network so soon after our initial launch. After starting domestic routes in the UK just a couple of weeks ago, the demand has picked up very quickly and we are now expanding for the second time already. Sheffield is an important destination within the United Kingdom and we hope to be able to introduce more people to what is the greenest way of travelling within Britain.

Connecting Sheffield, Leeds, London, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester is just the start for us. We have great plans for Britain and aim to grow to market leader by 2025."

FlixBus does not own coaches or employ drivers; the business model is based on a collaboration with local small and midsized companies who take care of operations.
