Year-long shop ban for Isle thief

A Crowle man who pleaded guilty to four charges of theft has been banned from entering any shops in the Isle for the next 12 months.

Kevin Bartholomew, 35, of Eastoft Road, was charged with stealing alcohol valued at £16.70, £20.97, £12 and £25.05 from the Lincolnshire Co-op and Tesco between August 23 and September 1 this year.

Appearing before North Lincolnshire Magistrates Court he also pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive behaviour.

The court ordered him not to enter any retail premises in the Isle of Axholme other than Weldricks Pharmacy, Market Place, Crowle for 12 months.

He was also ordered to pay a total of £159.72 in compensation and costs.
