Work on surface dressing Isle roads delayed.

Vital surface dressing is taking place on various Isle roads at a cost of £200,000 to North Lincolnshire Council.

Originally due to start today, but now scheduled for Thursday due to the weather, the routes affected are Park Drain, Firth Lane and Woodside in Wroot; Rookery Croft and Newlands Lane in Epworth; the C213 in Owston Ferry; and the A18 in Crowle.

MP Andrew Percy said: “Working with Coun Redfern, we have made improving roads on the Isle a priority. That is why Liz made more money available in the council budget for this. It is also why, following lobbying form many MPs including myself, George Osborne provided millions extra to North Lincs this year specifically for our roads. There will be some disruption whilst these works are undertaken, but hopefully after that it will be the end of the pot holes.”
