Wonder writer continues to thrive after Doncaster Super Kids awards

Once again the hunt for Doncaster’s exceptional youth is on. Do you know a child who deserves an award?

Doncaster Superkids awards 2018 is quickly approaching, a ceremony to show off the brightest and bravest of our town’s children in a night of achievements.

Presented by the Doncaster Free Press, this year’s event, once again supported by Amazon will be held in the Doncaster College on Wednesday, October 10.

This year the evening will be hosted by Ashleigh Porter Exley, winner of the Young Apprentice on BBC.

Categories for youngsters include Invincible Carer, Super Sports Star, and Math Marvel.

Last year’s winner of the Wonder Writer award was Toby Hopson a keen young writer.

This award celebrates kids who love to read, write and let their imagination run wild.

Toby ’s mother Mrs Hopson said: “He was really excited, it was a great experience like a mini Oscars.

“He loves creative writing and still writes at school and enjoys literature.”

Toby has continued his creative talents and is still an avid reader.

She continued: “His grandparents took him to the event as they were the ones who nominated him.

“The awards are a good idea for Doncaster and it’s children.

“Lots of achievements go unnoticed and it’s nice to hear about people going out of their way to help other people.”
