He’s been to the Houses of Parliament - now he’s visited the White House.

Doncaster war hero Ben Parkinson visited the building, home to the American President’s office in Washington during a visit to the US with his charity, Pilgrim Bandits.

He toured the building ahead of a visit to the Arlington National Cemetery, the country’s main military cemetery, to which the members of Pilgrim Bandits were invited in recognition of its fundraising.

Ben has raised money for forces related causes since he was injured in Afghanistan, losing both legs and suffering an injury to his brain. He has raised cash through a series of challenges including parachuting, trekking through snow in Norway and long distance canoeing. His charity work earned him the MBE.
