Scruffs fun dog show
The prettiest pooches in town will go head to head at the Mayflower Sanctuary’s Annual Dog Show. The event takes place on Sunday July 1 at Tithes Lane Playing Fields, Tithes Lane, Tickhill. Dogs can compete in 14 Fun Classes with rosettes up for grabs for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th places and Best in Show.
As well as competitions on the day there will be lots of stalls, refreshments, tombola, raffle and BBQ.
The show opens at 10.30am with the first class starting at 11am prompt. Everybody is welcome to come along to this fun family day out
Admission to the show is free and entry to the competitions is £1 per dog per class, 11am to 5pm. mayflowersanctuary.co.uk
A fun day out for the family is on offer at Hooton Pagnell Villlage Fete takes place on Sunday July 1.
The traditional village fete will feature lots of live music for all tastes, craft stalls, food and drink (from Hog Roast to Afternoon Tea), kids rides and food court with local ales.
Musical acts include Doncaster Concert Band, 5 Piece Essential Jazz and Doncaster Ladies Choir.

A new, free five-week activity festival ‘Free Fest’ to help school leavers discover what they want to do in the future starts on Tuesday July 3.
The summer scheme organised by YMCA Training is aimed at young people aged between 16-18 and takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays across a five-week period, that encompasses both fun and learning based activities. The sessions take place from 10am to 3pm at 5-7 Regents Terrace, Doncaster.
Come along to the latest Opera North Little Singers session at Cast on Wednesday July 4.
The session takes place 10am to 10.45am and are £3.50 children, adults free.
During the weekly sessions, children and accompanying adults are taken on a lively journey of musical discovery, exploring instruments, playing games and enjoying some toe-tapping tunes. Suitable for children aged 4 and under.
Retro games market
Come along to the Video Game Market on Saturday June 30 at Doncaster Dome.
The event is the biggest and longest running gaming market in the UK and doors open at 11am.
Exhibitors sell a variety of gaming related items including retro games, computers, consoles, handhelds, artwork, apparel, import games and merchandise.

Armed forces day
A parade and street party takes place on Saturday June 30 in the town centre from 11am
Armthorpe Community Centre, Mon, Wed and Fri 9.30am to 11am.
Scawsby messy play takes place at Scawsby Scout Hut Saturday 10am to 11am.
