'We'll miss you Kez:" Cricket club leads tributes after death of young Doncaster teacher

Tributes have been paid to a young Doncaster teacher and cricketer after his shock death.

Kieran Greening, who was originally from Sprotbrough, is understood to have died in Vietnam where had been based as an English teacher for a number of years.

Sprotbrough Cricket Club, who he played for when he lived in the UK, paid tribute on Facebook following his death.

A post said: “We're deeply saddened to inform you that one of our former players Kieran Greening has passed away.

“Kieran was one of the most genuine lovely people anyone could have wished to meet and its not fair that he was taken from us so young.

“A close friend to many who still play now, our love is sent to Richard, Caroline, Hannah and the rest of his family and friends who are as shocked and saddened as the rest of us.

“We'll miss you Kez.”

The circumstances of Mr Greening’s death have not been announced.

Friends have also paid tribute on Facebook.

Dawn Kaye said: “What terrible news. He was a lovely young gentleman. Always a kind and generous person with a great smile. My thoughts are with his family and will be for some time to come.”

Phil Wood wrote: “So sad we’ve lost you Kez. Difficult to take this news in. Such a lovely genuine kid, always made me laugh and smile. Thoughts and love to the family and all his friends. Fly high Kez, love ya RIP x”
