Well-known former Doncaster hospital catering chief dies

A well-known former Doncaster Royal Infirmary catering assistant has died at the age of 81.

Mary McCready, known as Brenda, worked at the hospital for a number of years and died earlier this month.

Mrs McCready, formerly of Wicklow Road, Intake, died at the Stafford Nursing Home on June 3.

An obituary described Mrs McCready as the dearly loved wife of the late Dennis, a retired Army warrant officer and the dearly loved mother of Tony, Angie and Caroline.

A Requiem Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church on June 23 at 1.30pm followed by commital at Rose Hill Crematorium at 2.40pm.
