This is when weather forecasters predict snow will fall in Doncaster next week
Weather forecasters have predicted that snow will fall on two days in Doncaster next week.
The updated forecast comes after it was warned yesterday that South Yorkshire temperatures would plummet after this week bringing sub-zero conditions and ice and snow.
Now the predictions are for snow on two days, starting on Thursday (December 12) and continuing into Friday.
The lowest predicted temperature on snowy days is 1C, while highs are expected to be around 4C.
The reason for the plummeting temperatures is an Arctic blast, bringing harsh winter conditions to much of the UK, with the north and Scotland being hit the hardest.
Come Saturday (December 14) rain showers are predicted. Forecasters have warned of potentially dangerous icy conditions that could come as a result of freezing wet weather.
Doncaster Council’s gritting scheme is in full swing now, with 24 gritters on standby at all hours of the day.
