The Met Office has forecast a cloudy day for South Yorkshire with showers across the region for Saturday, March 14.

Cloud coverage with showers are expected throughout much of the morning, according to the Met Office.

However, the Met Office has indicated that by the afternoon there should be some sunnier spells which are likely to develop across eastern districts with further showers in the west.

Conditions are also expected to become breezy later.

By tonight, it is expected to cloud over from the west again with a weather front edging erratically east which will give spells of rain at times.

The Met Office stated that it will become increasingly windy as fresh south westerlies develop but conditions should stay mild.

Temperatures will start with lows of about six degrees centigrade, according to the Met Office, reaching highs of 12 degrees and falling to about ten degrees by the evening.
