WEATHER WARNING: Persistent and heavy rain expected to lead to South Yorkshire flooding
The Met Office has this morning issued a yellow weather warning of rain.
Persistent rain, heavy at times, is expected to continue during this morning before slowly easing in the afternoon.
Accompanied by windy conditions, this rain is likely to produce some flooding and difficult driving conditions.
Some sleet and snow is also likely in places, mainly on higher ground above 300m, though temporary snowfall accumulations of 1-2 cm are also possible at low levels.
Please be aware of the risk of localised flooding and disruption to transport.
