WEATHER: Rain, sunny spells and a risk of thunder in South Yorkshire

South Yorkshire faces a mixed day, with sunny spells, occasional heavy rain, sleet, snow and a chance of thunder.

Early morning rain will subside and the county will enjoy sunny spells before the rain returns at around noon.

There will be a couple of hours of heavy downpours before it dries up for the rest of the day.

Sleet and snow may be seen across the hills, and there is a risk of hail and thunder.

Temperatures are set to reach a high of 8C.
