Jas Kaur is Doncaster's baking queen.
Miss Kaur, 23, took out the inaugural Great Doncaster Bake Off today.
Her pistachio and raspberry drip layer cake wowed the judges at the Doncaster Market event.
Miss Kaur only entered the competition on whim after realising it coincided with some time off.
"I only just saw the competition online, and I was off today, so I thought I'd look at it," she said.
The Bawtry Road resident said she wanted to use her cooking skills to make a career switch.
"I'm a sales assistant at the moment, but I want to get my cakes out there," she said.
A team of four judges - Lisa Pyott, Sue Voltane, Sharon Hill and Janet Sylvester - looked at appearance, taste and technical skill in picking a winner.
Billy Brigden's angel food cake with passionfruit and lemon curd drizzle landed him a highly commended award.
Mr Brigden said his technical creation was popular with friends, who ask him to make it for all their parties.
"It's really light, made on egg whites and sugar," he said.
He said he'd use the left over egg yolks to make quiche for tea.
