Paris Mulholland says she now feels able to sleep in the transformed room following the Good Morning Britain surprise makeover.

Mum Gemma Mulholland said: “It was such a surprise for Paris, she got quite emotional when she saw it. The room has completely changed so the idea was Paris wouldn’t associate it with bad memories anymore.

“She has slept in my bed every night since the burglary and now she says she can’t wait to sleep in her new room.

“It’s amazing that people have been so generous and we’ve been overwhelmed by the support.”

The TV crew rallied round after the 11-year-old, of Westminster Crescent, wrote a letter to the burglars explaining how she no longer felt able to sleep in her room after the raid in which her new iPhone, a laptop she was given for Christmas and birthday money was taken.
