The Castle Park club have lost the last seven meetings between the two sides.

Knights, who currently sit second in the Championship, also hope to bounce back from defeat to Jersey in the British & Irish Cup last weekend - a loss which brought to an end their impressive 12-match unbeaten run.

Titans, meanwhile, travel to Doncaster on the back of seven straight defeats in all competitions.

However, Knights’ forwards coach Glen Kenworthy says form goes out of the window this weekend.

“The fact that it is a derby game evens things up,” he said.

“Even if Rotherham were bottom of the table and hadn’t won a game all year we’d still fear them because of their record against us.

“We’ve not beaten them for a very long time.

“But having said that the last three or four times we’ve played them I thought we should have won.

“They didn’t win any of the games - we lost them.

“There will be a lot of nerves on Sunday and it could come down to who makes the most mistakes.”

Knights are hoping to attract a crowd in the region of 4,000 to Sunday’s game.

Last season’s corresponding fixture was watched by 3,676 and Knights hope their excellent league form will see that figure beaten this time around.

Titans won the reverse fixture 30-23 in September with a try in the fifth minute of stoppage time from Curtis Wilson.

Sunday’s game will be televised on Sky Sports 3 from 3pm.

Adult ticket prices start from £15. Children can attend for free with a paying adult.
