VIDEO: Hundreds enjoy Mallard’s Doncaster homecoming

The homecoming of Doncaster’s legendary locomotive Mallard proved a big hit with visitors who flocked to see it over the weekend.

The record breaking steam loco, back in the town where it was built in the 1930s, attracted hundreds of visitors across Saturday and Sunday to the Freightliner depot to catch a glimpse ofits famed blue bodywork.

The engine is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its 126mph run along the East Coast Main Line in 1938.
