The rap star said: “The use of spice, drug abuse and aggressive begging in Doncaster town centre has become a great concern over the past couple of years.
“This is something that effects me daily and something I am passionate about making a difference with.
“I decided to use my voice to address the situation in the form of a music video in hopes of getting more people talking.
“I don’t want Doncaster to be known for spice. I want Doncaster to be known for the town that tackled spice and set examples for the rest of the UK.”
The video, shot near the town's Doncaster Minster, shows Ty, real name Tyler Jackson, delivering a series of hard-hitting lyrics focusing on the town’s spice epidemic intercut with shocking footage of drug users rendered unconscious by the drug in the town centre.
Some of the song's lines include: “My home town’s looking bummy, situation ain’t funny. They just looking for a handout they don’t want food they want dope.”
Another lyric is: “I wanna see Donny like those before me, in all its glory, all these addicts bore me.”
And he adds: “Guess what I’m intervening because I don't want my kids to see them. Places shutting down all over the shop cos they can’t make money or get robbed a lot.
“They don’t wanna walk their kids through town, with those needles everywhere can you blame them?”
Since being uploaded to Facebook, the video has gained more than 5,000 views and been shared more than 100 times.
