Members of a boxing club have been dealt a knock out blow after being asked to leave the venue they have trained at for the last three years.
Coaches and amateur boxers from Scawsby Boxing Club are now on the hunt for a new venue after they say they were asked to leave the Sun Inn in Scawsby.
President of the club James Meads said: “Everyone is so disappointed we’ve got some really promising young kids who are ready for their first bout and it will be a real shame if they can’t continue their training.
“We are trying to find a new venue that will be suitable and until we’ve found something we’re having to put the training sessions on hold.
“As far as we’re aware it was the brewery who decided we were no longer allowed to train there.
“We would ask anyone who can help us out with a venue to get in touch with us.”
A spokesman for Marston’s brewery said they are investigating the situation.
Anyone who may have a suitable venue for the club to train is asked to contact Phil from the club on 07500 821133.
