Brian died in Crowle in February 2015 at the age of 80.

Brian was also Chairman of the Lincolnshire branch of RAILFUTURE, the independent and voluntary rail campaigning body, for over 10 years, and they have decided to sponsor a memorial seat in Brian’s memory on Crowle station.
