The party’s main 2014 conference will be held at Doncaster Racecourse on Friday September 26 and Saturday September 27.

The venue borders the Labour leader Ed Miliband’s Doncaster North constituency and will give UKIP a chance to further raise its profile in one of the parts of the country where the party is growing.

UKIP has recorded strong results in parliamentary by-elections in nearby Rotherham and Barnsley during the current parliament.

Up to 2,000 party members are likely to flock to the South Yorkshire venue. The party is anticipating a record attendance provided it can fulfill its potential in the local and European elections this May.

The world famous venue offers superb facilities with ample parking and a large number of hotels and restaurants within walking distance. Doncaster is also very accessible for members from right across Britain thanks to excellent rail and motorway links.

Details about how to secure passes for this conference will follow in due course.

UKIP deputy leader Paul Nuttall said: “We are taking the UKIP message straight into one of Labour’s most neglected heartlands, a part of the country it has taken for granted for far too long.

“This event will represent our firing of the starting pistol for the long general election campaign and will give the lie to any idea that we are only a threat to the Tories.

“I hope as many members as possible will want to be a part of this exciting event. It could be something special for us – a real launch pad to success at the general election of 2015.”
