Two people were treated by paramedics after fire ripped through a house in Doncaster.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue crews were called to the property on Church Lane, Cantley yesterday afternoon.

A spokesperson said: “We were called at 3:46pm to a house on Church Lane, Cantley. Firefighters from Doncaster, Edlington and Rossington attended the incident.

“Two people suffered smoke inhalation and were left in the care of the paramedics.

“The fire is believed to have started accidentally.

“Crews left the scene at 5:34pm.”
