Two car accident closes M1 and causes long delays
Motorists are facing long delays on the M1 South Yorkshire Southbound following an accident.
The main road is closed, with traffic being routed around the junction and back on again, resulting in stop-start traffic.
Severe delays are expected on on M1 southbound at J35, A629 (Rotherham), because of an accident involving a van and two cars.
Cars are currently being diverted via the exit and entry slip roads. There is also congestion to A616 and to J37, A628 (Barnsley).
