Volunteers are needed to provide information about Doncaster train station to help a transport policing authority.

The British Transport Police (BTP) wants people who are interested in the borough’s station to join its Citizens Panel and offer feedback and advice as to how it can be improved through policing and facilities.

Enthusiastic members of the public and rail staff are encouraged to get in touch to join the panel which has been established for a number of years and aims to expand its membership.

BTP also has a National Independent Advisory Group whose members are from a variety of backgrounds, communities and diverse groups to evaluate the authority’s procedures.

Meetings are held quarterly across the area. Anyone interested can visit http://www.btp.police.uk/about_us/in_the_community/independent_advisory_groups.aspx or call Insp Dave McMenemy on 0113 2472359.
