More traffic jams on M18 after second crash on Doncaster motorway this morning

Highways England says there are curretly delays on the M18 southbound between junctions one and two, and started the cause was a road traffic collision.

They said: The event is expected to clear between 11:15 and 11:30 on 8 May 2021

“Normal traffic conditions are expected between 11:15 and 11:30 on 8 May 2021

Police are this morning warning drivers to be careful.

South Yorkshire Police tweeted today: “Heavy traffic whilst we deal with a four vehicle RTC

“Traffic conditions on the network are terrible today with standing water in many places.

“This is the second RTC on the motorway that we have been to today.

“Please, drive to the conditions.”

There were delays on the M18 earlier this morning after a collision which happened between junctions four and junction three on the southbound carriageway.
