Man taken to hospital after being struck by car in Doncaster

A police investigation is under way into a collision between a car and pedestrian in Doncaster.

Emergency services were deployed to Bawtry Road, Bessacarr, at 6.50pm yesterday following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian close to The Dome.

A 60-year-old man was taken to hospital with a head injury and a broken leg.

Bawtry Road was closed out of town between The Dome and Cantley Lane following the collision.

South Yorkshire Police said ‘enquiries are ongoing’.
