Major Doncaster road to be closed for a whole day for roadworks to take place

Motorists and those who use public transport are being advised of a road closure taking place this month.

Travel South Yorkshire Tweeted that due to roadworks on Thorne Road at Wheatley Hills, there would be diversions in place.

The closure takes place next Friday, May 21, between 9.30am and 5.30pm.

Wizz Air reveals the flights to five destinations restarting next week

First South Yorkshire bus services 84, 84a, 84b, 87 and 87a will all be diverted while the closure is in place.

People are advised to find an alternative route if possible.
