Four fire crews rescued man from car after M18 crash

Four fire crews were called out to deal with a car accident very early this morning.

Four appliances from Thorne, Doncaster and Adwick stations attended the road traffic collision at 2.35am on the M18 at East Cowick.

There was one vehicle involved in the incident and one male casualty had to be rescued from the vehicle.

The crews left the scene at 3.50am.

Firefighters from Tankersley station were called out to a vehicle fire at 12.05am on Sheffield Road, Birdwell, Barnsley. The crew left the scene at 12.55am.
