An 18-year-old man had died and a 13-year-old boy has been seriously injured after a car crash.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened yesterday evening, Saturday November 7.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “At around 6.40pm, it is reported that a red Seat Ibiza was involved in a collision on the A18 High Street, travelling towards Dunsville, near to Wyndthorpe Hall.
“An 18-year-old man driving the car suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
“A 13-year-old boy, a passenger in the car, has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and his condition this morning, Sunday 8 November, is described as critical.
“The family of the teenagers are being supported by specialist officers and they have asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.
“Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have been in the area, either walking or driving, at the time of the collision.”
