AN 11-year-old boy was left needing hospital treatment when he was the victim of a hit and run on one of Doncaster’s busiest roads.
The boy suffered a fractured kneecap, bruised ribs and cuts and bruises when he collided with a vehicle in Balby Road, Balby, at around 5pm yesterday, police said.
A passer-by tried to run after the vehicle to stop it following the collision which happened near to the junction with Carr Hill.
The boy, who was wearing a white top, was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary and was discharged after treatment.
The vehicle involved in the crash is unknown.
