Emergency services were called to Bawtry Road, near The Dome, at around 7pm this evening following reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a car.
South Yorkshire Police said a male pedestrian had sustained ‘serious leg injuries’.
Bawtry Road was closed out of town between The Dome and Cantley Lane following the collision, and there are reports of lengthy tailbacks in both directions.
